Profile view of bowl.  The series has a distinctive border with acanthus scrolls.  The same border was used for the Byron Groups series by the same maker.

Description:

A large deep earthenware bowl printed in green underglaze with a view of Cintra from the Byron Views Series, inspired by the source print Cintra drawn by C. Stansfield from a sketch by Captain Elliot and engraved by Edward Findon.   Cintra was the summer home of the Kings of Portugal and was visited by Lord Byron in 1816.
