An earthenware platter printed in medium blue with the pattern named Pennsylvania. As with all the patterns in this series, the imaginary landscape design typically includes a party in a punt on a river in front of an ornate building with two towers. This pattern was offered in blue, black, pink, and purple. Although presumably named for the American state, this romantic scene bears little resemblance to the actual Pennsylvania landscape. Knight, Elkin and Co. was the only maker of this pattern.
