Description:

A Vauxhall "polychrome printed" teaspoon tray decorated with European flowers and insects.  The source of the prints is unknown but they are similar to those found in The Ladies' Amusement.  This 18th century type of polychrome printing on porcelain is peculiar to Vauxhall and it may have been inspired by nearby Battersea.  The technique involved the overglaze printing of two or more colors in outline,
