There are a number of marks on this piece that give us information about its production. The diamond shaped mark tells us that either the shape or the pattern was registered on 27th November, 1863 by Bodley & Harrold who were in business in Burslem from about 1862-1865. Above the diamond registration mark is a Staffordshire knot with the initials of the pottery company and the pattern name, SANDRINGHAM.
