This Worcester porcelain bowl is printed in black with three chinoiserie scenes in the style of Pillement, although none have been specifically identified as his.  This one is known as Le Chalet Double.   A small print based on this design in reverse appears in The Ladies Amusement plate 179.  The inside rim of the bowl has a painted black border of trellis alternating with panels containing foliage and the interior is printed with two swans from the River Scene.This is possibly a slop bowl from a tea service.  This is made more likely by a spoon tray being known in the Dykes Collection at Manchester Art Gallery, which is printed with Le Chalet Double and is painted with the same border as is this bowl.
