Maker: Chamberlain Worcester Description: This unmarked porcelain platter, printed in gray and given the name Akbar's Tomb, is one of five Chamberlain pieces known with transfer-printed scenes of India. It is not known whether a whole dinner service was produced, but the known pieces include a soup tureen. The pattern shown here was also produced on an oval shaped platter. One of the known pieces, a 10 inch plate, was printed in blue, while the others were printed in gray. |
