Description:

An earthenware plate printed in blue underglaze and in black overglaze assigned the name Rose 2 in the TCC Pattern and Source Print Database.  The pattern is part of a series printed in more than one color.  A second example is known printed in three colors; green, pink and black. Peter Hyland, in The Herculaneum Pottery, Liverpool's Forgotten Glory, refers to the design as "Floral Sprays", p. 207.
