A bone china coffee cup of waisted tapered form, bat-printed in puce with stems of flowers, fractional pattern number painted in black 7 over 4016. The figure 7 denotes the cup shape and will be found on all accompanying pieces in the service. This method of giving numbers to the various cup shapes was introduced around 1820 but used sparingly.
